Hello guys, Suyi here.
First, I want to say a big welcome back to everyone. The WAW team has been on a bit of a hiatus, trying to build more structures behind the scenes, and for that lapse in time, we apologise. However, we’re glad to say we’re back in the fray now, coming in slow-and-steady.
Since we’ve been back
Did you see that we’ve thrown up storms all over the interwebs? If you missed Walter’s discussion on Facebook about praying for a “literary Nigeria”, go see it now, and give our page a Like afterwards. Chisom also posted a behind-the-scenes spy-cam photo of me using four laptops at once (Lmao!). Keep up with us on Instagram to for more cool stuff. And lastly, we’ve gathered over 100 (and counting) retweets and likes on our tweet about an archive of Nigerian Civil War first-hand stories we found. Follow us on Twitter and don’t miss out on the action.
What we (really) did behind the scenes

But we were also trying to get more hands on deck. And we did!
Please welcome the two freshest members of our WAW community: Oyindamola Williams and Walter Ude. Here are their pretty faces, so you can say hi when you see them in the streets.

And finally, Dear Writer
Chisom and I will be kicking off our Dear Writer newsletter series on the 30th of this month (June 2017). Dear Writer is a letter series to us writers who need nuggets of motivation to write, as well as practical tips to help us learn and keep going. If this describes you, then subscribe to the Dear Writer newsletter and get this sweet goodness in your inbox every 30th. We won’t spam you, we promise.
Do you enjoy the work we do? Tell us in the comments below. Our lives (might) depend on it.
Cheers, fam.
